Timing

It was a full day for me (Jared) and the life of Restoration Church.

One entrepreneurial talk I listened to this past year was talking about how important timing is when starting something new.

The guru-ish speaker went over multiple examples of both for & non-profit startups with similiar budgets, opportunities, teams and other resources BUT one aspect separated the successful ones from the unsuccessful ones. You guessed it, timing.

We have had some really wonderful experiences lately that timing played an important role in. We would give an enormous amount of the credit to God for his leading, provision, and more! This is not just a leadership guru's advice, this is what it is like to be led by the maker of the universe.

  1. THE TEAM. Our team is coming together well for the projects we are taking on now. I was speaking with some pastors about the incredible gifts, passions, and experiences on the Restoration Church team. We have administration gifts, musical gifts, hospitality gifts, marketing skills, and more! There was a lot of pressure to charge ahead on some of these projects before we had the team to accomplish them. We are so glad we were patient.

  2. THE SUPPORT. Yesterday (10/5/22), I (Jared) attended the largest meeting of Denver Church planters and supporting churches. Just as we are entering phase 3 of the Restoration Church's timeline, the brand new FRONT RANGE CHURCH PLANTING NETWORK is kicking off as well. I sat in a room with a few other planting pastors and whole bunch of people who want to support us located here in Denver. To put it very simple, every person Restoration Church needs to connect with other the next. 6 months was in that room. Instead of making cold calls and setting up random coffee meetings for weeks, we simply. attended a lunch together. My phone is full of new connections who are excited to support Restoration Church in whatever way they can.

  3. THE QUESTIONS. One of the most difficult ongoing tensions with starting a new church has been being asked questions you simply do not answers for yet. Some of you reading this know we spent a significant amount of time without a church name before landing on who we are now. After living here since July 2021, working multiple jobs, volunteering, connecting with neighbors, and more. We now have a public church plan for all to see. This plan is only in digital form so you can check it out here! We will be sharing this with potential team members and potential financial supporters. Feel free to share the link with anyone and everyone you know who might be able to support us in some way.

The future is bright for Restoration Church. The pace and speed of ministry is picking up so we are in need of your prayers to continue. So much seems fragile in the days ahead but we continue to trust our maker to lead us.

Thanks so much for your support and for following our story.

- Jared
