Many of you have asked me what is going on and how can we pray for you?

You deserve to know that Restoration Church’s first 6 months have been full of celebrations and challenges both corporately and personally for my household and the families with in our community.

As for me, I am still working 2 jobs. One with the church. Every week I am prepping for Sundays, connecting with attenders, getting some admin tasks completed, and more.

One area that has really increased has been the level of pastoral care I find myself doing.

If you know me at all, I love people. Pastoral care is not counseling, it is simply being present and supportive in someone’s life when needed. Sometimes that person will reach out with a need but most of the time, in my life, Holy Spirit will lead me to ask the right question at the right time that leads to a beautiful moment of listening and prayer.

My other job, at the ninja gym is a much different vibe. You will not be seeing me on any episodes of American Ninja Warrior anytime soon but I hope the athletes I train will be one day soon. I work 2 evenings per week, one morning, and the occasional weekend.

The owner of the gym is 100% supportive of the Church and the understanding/flexibility he gives me week by week is a major reason this job is a keeper.

My kids also love it.

In regards to missional engagement at the gym, starting my 2nd year there offered me more opportunity to engage deeper with parents of athletes and some of the adult athletes we train. These people are not projects, they are friends. Its been a wonderful blessing.

The Church is moving forward. We have been meeting weekly, since April 2023 and average over 20 attendees each week. We have prayer walked, canvassed, knocked on doors, put out ads and more…the growth has been slow but we have been protected from the attacks other new churches have experienced.

Prayer for us. Common threats to the gospel include:

  • Church Hurt. People who have experienced hurt or abuse in a religious setting before.

  • Cults. The farther west you go, the more previlent it is to meet people who are lifetime members in Christian cults. Cults are controlling groups who have written and unwritten rules disconnected from God’s word. They usually have additional texts to support the group’s way of controlling.

  • Tiredness. Our team works hard. Most have families, multiple jobs, and big dreams. Do you know how tiring it is to build and pursue big dreams?

I try to shy away from talking about specific families or individuals on these updates to protect the privacy of our church and community. Know your support is fueling incredible Kingdom work in and around Arvada, CO.

If you are every in the area, please reach out.

Some of the highlights of our time have been when some of you stop by to see us.

Some have vacationed in the area, others are just passing through.

The mission of Restoration Church is be part of God’s Restoration of all things.

Thank you for fueling, funding, and being part of that mission.

You are loved.
