Phase 2

Writer: Jared BellJared Bell

Oh, the updates are here and they do not fit into one neat blog title. These feel so random, like when I read multiple books at a time or watch portions of multiple online clips in a row.

NEW PHASE. We are so thankful for our supporters as we enter the 2nd month of PHASE 2. The first phase of this adventure was learning, listening, and living. We moved to a new place, met new people, dreamed new dreams, and slowly worked our way through finding healthy rhythms to avoid burnout later. Nothing has been easy but we have learned a lot.

In Phase 2, we are incorporating all of the action oriented idioms you can think of:

- Putting the pedal to the metal.

- Putting our money where our mouth is.

- Dreaming while awake.

- Making things happen.

- Little less talk and lil' more action (for the elders among us).

To add more to one's life, one must remove other things. We decided I would begin being paid full time by the church and limit my hours working elsewhere. We have established weekly prayer and worship meetings for the church. We are also having serious conversations with locals who could possibly join our church. Up until now, this was not something we put any pressure on ourselves to do.

With a public launch date in September 2022, we are leaning further into this being a faith venture. Much like the parable of the sower, we will be obedient in scattering the seed and depend on God for where it grows. In the past 17 years of working in local churches, this is the most dependent on God I have felt when it comes to building something new. There are no shortcuts; there are no guarantees, but we lean in to our creator's promise to be WITH us and our belief God has led us HERE and NOW.

NEW LOGO. We have sat on our branding and church name for several months now. You may have caught a peek at them in different places we have incorporated them before now. Expect to see less of "Denver Church Plant" and more of "Restoration Church." Our team is genuinely excited about how our church's name, mission, and core values have come together.

Next update, I will invite you into the methodology connected to what we see on paper and how we believe God is doing something new and good here in CO.

NEW ASKS. The time has come to begin purposeful and strategic, asking individuals, households, and organizations to financially partner with Restoration Church's first 3-4 years. Until recently, we have not touched the funds donated directly to the church. Looking at all the plans and challenges set before us, we need to raise $416,000 (minimum) in pledges and donations.

This WAS really hard for us. Can I tell you why it's not anymore?

We believe Restoration Church is worth supporting.

The mission, the values, the team, and plans. All of it.

Here's a short video I made for a potential financial supporter. You can take a look as well.

Maybe seeing a familiar face will brighten your day. : )

Be in prayer for us and expect to receive a call (from one of our team members) about joining us to hear more about how you can financially partner with us to make this happen.

You are loved and appreciated.
