Even now, as I view pre-2020 photo and film, I am a bit uncomfortable with how close everyone is standing to each other. The hand shaking, side-hugging, and air-sharing has an effect on me. I am constantly reminded; this pandemic has changed me.

Taking a step back though, what hasn't changed me/us?

What's my point? Everything changes us and its up to me/us to not sit idle but to choose (this day) what we will let go of and what we will fight to reclaim.

I think gathering is important.

There is something new and ancient about it. Our ancient need to not just see/hear my friend's laughter but to feel it in the air. To let it move me. Gathering has a newness too, when I am in the same room as you, I can't hide anymore (or, at least its much more difficult). I can't hide the stress parentinting has had on me. I can't hide whether I have showered today (again, at least its much more difficult).

We plan to be safe about it. We plan to be small about it. We plan to do it.

This will include

- one to one meet ups to talk vision and disciple making.

- Family gatherings where we share a meal.

- Leadership and strategic meetings where we hammer and forge details of what we are called to build.

Just sharing the journey here. A major theme rolling around in my brains is

Community worth multiplying. That's it.

We have all experienced or seen/felt community that should not be multiplied or even kept alive (the grouping of the people, not the people). Whether you end up being a GO-ER or a SEND-ER, your input on this topic matters.

The type of community we seek to create will determine what we do, not the other way around. Dang, that was deep huh?
