It is 2022, and that means we are 9 months away from our public launch of our new church.

Officially, the story of God calling us (and others) to move to Colorado to start a new church started over 18 months. So much has happened and you can catch up on that journey by binging some past blog posts.

Now, today, January 2022.

- Taking the first 6 months to simply build a life and fall in love with the community was wonderful. We do not regret it. It has put us, by some accounts, behind on fundraising and necessary tasks...but we have no regrets. Here we go.

- One of the most difficult decisions so far was to sell our homes and move to Colorado in summer 2021 instead of waiting another year for a move in summer 2022. We are constantly experiencing affirmations of this being the right decision. We still love/miss the people and places that made SF (and Tucson) home.

- Our launch team is made up of 5 households. This includes a modest number of adults who love Jesus and the potential of His bride (Church). Prayers are NEEDED and requested for the financial and emotional stretching taking place for launch team members to move to Colorado. Even when its God's idea, it can still be so hard. If you are interested in joining us, let's set up a time to talk. There is no recruitment plan, just an invitation to dream together.

- We are excited to begin inviting local connections to dip their toes into a new church community. It will still be months before we offer a traditional looking church gathering but, for now, doing dinner-church with our fun, loud, and passionate families is wonderful.

- I have come to realize the difficulty of working a full time job at the same time as I co-build a church (in this phase). I could do it, but my family and health would suffer and that's not what God calls us to. We are setting a fundraising goal, that once we hit it, I can move to a part time job closer to home.

- One common thread among the people in our current launch team is a very scrappy, entrepreneurial spirit. Some of us are more scrappy than others. : ) A dream we have (and are seriously pursuing) is finding a property to lease in order to open a business. This business would also be a space where the church could meet rent free. This would provide a source of income for launch team and staff families, provide a rent free meeting space for the church, and connection to the heartbeat of the business community. There is so much more to share, but you will just have to wait (or email me). To be clear, this business would be owned personally and not be owned by the church.

I realize some of these updates may seem simplistic. If you have questions I have not addressed here, PLEASE reach out HERE. It would be great to hear from you.

I'll close with beautiful words, written by someone else.

Please consider joining the prayer team or giving financially to support this adventure.
