This post has nothing to do with church planting. It is an attempt to answer the million questions I get about my job. Here you go.
Everyone seems to have a dog (or 3) in the area of Colorado we live in. During all times of day, you will see multiple people walking their dogs and you see dogs hanging out car windows every time you go out. They are part of the culture.
The company I work for has around 5,000 clients on one, two, or three cleanings per week.
We charge based on how many dogs you have and how many times per week you want us cleaning.
5 days per week, I leave my house at 7:30am and clock in at my first house upon arrival.
I have my tools and containers to clear the tools and trash bags to haul the waste.
At each home, I go right through their gates and into their yards. Some clients love chatting, most of the time the dogs are out and they love when I play with the dogs.
I clean between 30-40 yards per day. On average, I am in each yard for about 7 minutes (counting the walk to and from the vehicle).
The job is 80% by yourself (unless you count the interaction with the dogs).
I only have to go to the office to dump the waste or restock my supplies.
I wear a blue polo shirt with the company logo on it.
I am allowed to keep on air pod in and listen to podcasts/musics while I work.
We are allowed lunch and bathroom breaks. I eat lunch while I am driving.
This job is working out so well for my family's first year in Colorado. Its not what we imagined, but its so much of what we need.
Ok, that's enough for now. Hope this scratches the curiosity itch you had! ; )
